GOOD NEWS – our campsite is now fully fenced in!!

We have leased the campsite land for over 60 years and in all that time it has been open for the public to access when not in use. As well as our Scout District, we also have other Scouts, Guides, schools and other youth organisations who use the site.
Due to times changing and the need for better safety and security for those using the site, we now have to make the site more secure and put fencing up. We’ve been able to make a small start by having a new gate fitted during our closed season, but much more is needed.
We have some funds for this and the local council has offered some assistance. The Estate that owns the land we lease, has also offered some assistance. We have a great relationship with them and expect to continue leasing for many years to come.
