Squirrel Scouts were launched nationally in September 2021 to bring Scouting to 4-6 year old children. The Squirrels take part in fun activities, learning about the world around them, themselves, the outdoors and much more. There will be a monthly fee for this which will cover the insurances needed, the badges earned and lots more (day trips will be extra) BUT don’t let that put you off!! Support may be available for anyone who is experiencing any hardships especially in the current climate.

Squirrels wear a bright red sweatshirt (dependent on the group, some will have these in stock for you to purchase, around £14) and will be given a group necker (scarf). Boston has 2 Dreys in town – one on the Woad Farm estate and the other behind Asda. We are looking to open more Dreys at the other 8 Groups once each Group is ready.

Numbers in each Drey will be able to increase if more adult volunteers come forward to help run the Dreys. Volunteering has been proven to be #goodforyou – The Princess of Wales was a leader when she lived in North Wales and currently supports The Scouts by being our Joint President and her family joined in with the recent Big Help Out on 7 June 2023.
