Over 60 Beavers from across the district came together for their 16th annual Santa’s Sleepover over the weekend. Here they all are, enjoying their Christmas dinner. Many more photos can be seen on the District Beavers Facebook page (but you have to be a member to view them). We believe this one was the most successful of all!!
We had lots of Explorer Scouts join us to look after the Beavers, taking them to their activities and generally ensuring they were ok, so that the leaders could run those activities which ranged from Christmas crafts to cooking dough twists over the fire to playing Christmas Bingo and having their photos taken professionally.
The organising team would like to thank all parents for entrusting us with their children, the Explorer Scouts for all their hard work and to all the group team volunteers (about 25 of them) for giving up their time (and holiday from work in some cases) to help put on another fabulous event.
